I don't know about you, but I don't like for anything to be unsettled! I have no comfort zone when "things are up the air." In many regards, we live in a time and in a world where much is unsettled. Turmoil in the Middle East. Markets that are in free fall. Domestic violence running rampant. I prefer, "resolve." I prefer, "decisiveness." I prefer, "settled!" We settle elections. We settle athletic contests. We settle where the loyalty of our life is going to lie. I believe in being, "settled!" The psalmist brings great resolve and confidence to our hearts when he brings us the incredible truth, "God's Word is settled in heaven." (v. 89) There may be debate among those on this earth that do not know our Lord but in heaven where everything is perfect and eternal, "God's Word is settled!" We can take Him at His Word! I knew a salesman once that as he was trying to close a deal would say to his would be client, "I promise you but I can't guarantee it?" I am not even sure what all of that means but I know this, with that salesman, there was some chance you weren't going to get what he promised. Not so with our Lord! His Word is His bond! He delivers what He promises! He has been faithful to His Word to all generations! His Word was true! His Word is true! His Word will be true! He promises, He guarantees it! His integrity and honor is at stake and the foundations of heaven have His Word!
Join us for a time of worship Thursday, December 23 at 7:00 PM. Our worship team will lead us in Christmas songs and carols followed by a candlelight service with a message from our pastor.
February 10 @ 7pm all of our classes will be back in session.
More of our people need to take advantage of what is offered on Wednesday nights. These classes are not for a select few but for every “Stonian”!
If you have never attended, or haven’t been in a long time, I encourage you to be with us this Wednesday night. It will simply be the best investment of an hour that you can make on a Wednesday. We hope to see you there!
Our Riverstone Food Pantry Ministry is led by John and Vickie Woods. If you or someone you know is in need, please go to the church kitchen after service or speak with any of your church leaders who are here to serve.
If you would like to contribute to the Food Pantry Ministry, we would gratefully accept the following items. Please be mindful of expirations dates.
